Description
This black and white photograph from 1905 shows St. Stephen's Hall with its statues of famous parliamentarians facing one another on either side. St Stephen's Hall stands on the site of the royal Chapel of St Stephen's, where the House of Commons sat until the Chapel was destroyed by the fire of 1834. The image has been reproduced from the original glass plate negative held in the Parliamentary Archives.
