Honourable Lady Pocket Mirror
Description
Our handbag sized pocket mirror is the perfect gift for any Honourable Lady.
"Honourable Lady" is a phrase often heard in the House of Commons Chamber. During debate in the House of Commons Chamber, Members of Parliament refer to each other by the name of their constituencies, or by their official position, rather than their actual names.
In general, the description used is "the Honourable Member for . . .”. Often the constituency is omitted, and a Member will be described as "the Right Honourable Lady opposite", "the Honourable Gentleman below the gangway", etc. The purpose of using "Honourable" is to maintain the dignity of the House and its Members as well as showing respect to the Chair.
