Palace of Westminster Encaustic Tile (30 x 12cm)
Description
Designed by Palace architect A.W.N. Pugin and originally cast by Mintons of Stoke on Trent, the encaustic floor tiles that can be found throughout the Palace of Westminster have borne witness to some of the most important moments in the history of the United Kingdom – and have been walked upon by some of its most renowned politicians.
Removed as part of a nine-year conservation and restoration project, our 30 x 12cm tiles are some of the finest examples of Pugin's neo-gothic designs.
Each tile comes presented in a branded, satin-lined gift box with a certificate of authenticity that gives information about the encaustic tiles restoration project and and the location within the Palace from which the tile was removed.
